cloudflare enterprise account

Why You Should Have A Cloudflare Enterprise Account, Too

What do you get with a Cloudflare Enterprise account? Here are all the perks!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Cloudflare, the web performance and security company, for an Enterprise account.

For those of you not familiar with Cloudflare, it has a network of 120 points of presence (POPs) that speed up and protect any website, API or application. This happens at the network level, without hardware or software to install.

Cloudflare operates as a reverse proxy, where each POP caches static assets, which reduces latency and bandwidth usage. In addition, these POPs protect web properties from a wide variety of threats such as DDoS attacks, hackers, spammers, bots, before they even reach your origin server.

What are the advantages of having a Cloudflare Enterprise account:

  • 24/7/365 enterprise-grade phone, email, and chat support
  • 100% uptime guarantee with 25x reimbursement SLA
  • Enterprise-grade DDoS protection with network prioritization
  • Advanced web application firewall (WAF) with unlimited custom rulesets
  • Role-based account access
  • Multiple custom SSL certificate uploads
  • Access to Raw Logs
  • Access to account Audit Logs
  • Named solution and customer success engineers
  • Access to China data centers (additional cost)
  • 100 Page Rules included

To set up a FREE trial, email Brandon Crowe at Cloudflare (brandon@cloudflare.com) and he will assist you in the process.

What Cloudflare does for you

As soon as you activate your site on Cloudflare, it caches your site’s static content by default. Their CDN caches more than 35 file extensions automatically. Also, it allows users to write page rules to extend the list of file extensions it caches.

Cloudflare serves site requests directly from cached content in whichever data center is physically closest to a site visitor. Because Cloudflare has data centers around the world, this means that regardless of where your user is located, web pages are delivered quickly, even when the origin web server is thousands of miles away.

DDoS attacks are on the rise, causing service disruptions and unhappy customers. In addition to these different types of DDoS attacks, there is a significant increase in scale, a trend which is growing every year.

Cloudflare protects your web properties from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and other web threats before they hit your server.

Besides that, Cloudflare’s web application firewall (WAF) protects your website from SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS) and zero-day attacks, including OWASP-identified vulnerabilities and threats targeting the application layer.

Rate Limiting additionally protects against denial-of-service attacks, brute-force login attempts, and other types of abusive behavior targeting the application layer. And the pricing is completely flat, with no charges for overages, so there’s no surprise at the end of each month.

Argo Smart Routing, for faster Internet

Cloudflare offers some other compelling features as your site scales. Local and global load balancing reduce latency by load balancing traffic across multiple servers or by routing traffic to the closest geolocation region.

Furthermore, health checks with fast failover rapidly route visitors away from failures. Performance can be further optimized with Argo Smart Routing, which reduces Internet latency on average by 35% and connection errors by 27%.

Argo’s smart routing algorithm uses this information to route traffic across the fastest paths available. Also, Argo’s tiered caching technology uses regional tier 1 Cloudflare data centers to propagate content to Cloudflare’s global network of 120+ Data Centers, minimizing requests to servers and reducing costs.
