Meet Our Team! Vlad Stoian: “Email Validation Is Becoming Standard for Email Marketers”

As a Customer Support Team Leader at ZeroBounce, Vlad Stoian knows a thing or two about email validation. He’s getting constant positive feedback from the customers he’s helping every day. In this interview, he talks about the challenges and joys of his job, and tells us how he sees our industry evolving.

What is the most helpful thing you’ve learned at ZeroBounce so far?

I’ve become more organized, thanks to my schedule, and that has made a positive impact on my personal life. I’ve also learned so many new things. I wasn’t a frequent email user, but ZeroBounce has changed that. I got very interested in email in general and, of course, the process of email validation, which is very intriguing.

We need to have in-depth knowledge of our email validation service and keep ourselves up to date with industry innovations and the new features our experts develop. We study a lot and I’ve come to understand the intricacies of status codes and how important it is to keep up with your email hygiene.

How would you describe your job now, compared to the ones in the past?

The jobs I worked in the past – like the one I had in the pharmaceutical industry – were more labor-intensive and implied a certain level of health risks. I’m very happy to be working in a safer environment now.

Another plus is that I get to interact with our customers, and I enjoy that. Being able to assist them and sometimes offering them advice on email validation and email deliverability brings me great satisfaction!

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job? How do you overcome it?

At first, the most challenging thing was to respond quickly and efficiently to multiple clients at once and offer all of them the service they deserved. I overcame the anxiety by staying focused on what they needed help with and not letting myself become distracted.

In time, as I learned how to handle several customers at once, things have gotten a little easier. Whatever it is that you want to become good at, keep doing it and you’ll get there.

I also have to say, a great team like ours helps immensely! We communicate constantly and tackle each request with the most proficiency. We go out of our way to provide the best email validation system on the market.

What is your guiding principle when interacting with customers?

Being authentic, open, and professional is very important when you work in Customer Support. People can tell right away if they’re getting good service. Promptitude and clarity will put a smile on their face!

I get happy, too, whenever I manage to help someone on our platform and I see that my effort has made a difference.

How do you think people will perceive email validation in, let’s say, five years?

Email validation is becoming standard for email marketers. In the future, I don’t think many of them will send out any emails without cleaning their lists first. Having a reliable email validator is a must for anyone using email for mass communication.

It’s a fast-growing industry and I’m excited to be part of it!
