ZeroBounce Is on the Inc. 5000 List for the Third Time

We have amazing news to share with you: for the third year in a row, ZeroBounce has made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in North America! Our email validation and deliverability platform made it to the top tier of the coveted list.

This is a more in-depth, enhanced version of our press release.

Every year, Inc. magazine spotlights the most successful independent small businesses in America. First honored in 2019, ZeroBounce makes the list for the third consecutive time, taking no. 487 with a growth rate of 996%.

Thank you all for helping us get so far!

CEO Liviu Tanase, on ZeroBounce making the Inc. 5000 list

“It’s so motivating to be named to the Inc. 5000 again. We’re grateful and elated,” ZeroBounce CEO Liviu Tanase says.

“Email remains a vital communication channel. However, with data decaying faster, restoring email hygiene is critical to marketing and sales. We’ve been able to do even more for our customers by releasing several email testing and deliverability tools,” Tanase adds.

In the past year, ZeroBounce added a powerful stack of tools to its email verification platform. The company released an email server tester, an inbox placement tester and a blacklist monitoring tool.

Furthermore, ZeroBounce launched Activity Data, which identifies email users whose last known activity was up to one year prior. The tool improves segmentation, targeting and engagement.

“Our customers’ success is our priority. We look forward to providing them with innovative ways to achieve their email goals,” ZeroBounce CEO Liviu Tanase concludes.

Finding out that ZeroBounce is on the Inc. 5000 list – again

Keeping our Inc. 5000 recognition a secret hasn’t been easy!

We first got the news about being included a few weeks ago – but we had no idea what our rank was. Usually, Inc. magazine doesn’t reveal the position of each company until the day the list comes out.

So, all we knew was that we’d made the list. Here’s what the initial email read:

“Congratulations on reaching the pinnacle of success during a time of unprecedented uncertainty. ZeroBounce embodies America’s entrepreneurial spirit and the power of perseverance.”

As flattering and exciting as that sounded, we were dying to see our ranking!

This year, the editors made an exception and revealed it a week earlier, during a private conference we attended last week. However, there was an embargo on the news until today.

ZeroBounce Inc. 5000 list 2021 honoree Brian Minick.

Brian Minick, COO: “It shows that we’re making a difference”

We asked our Chief Operating Officer Brian Minick what being on the list again means to the team.

“Being on the Inc. 5000 three years in a row shows that we’re disrupting our space and making a difference for email marketers and businesses with data hygiene issues,” he says.

“As an organization, we work so hard to be the best. Being listed once is a major accomplishment, being listed twice is an honor. Being listed for a third time puts real validation on our business and our accomplishments. A major shoutout to our customers and entire team – they are the reason we’re celebrating today!”

What it takes to make the Inc. 5000 list

Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s challenges.

“ZeroBounce is an example of persevering against adversity,” Inc. editors say.

Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543%, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc.

“Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

ZeroBounce’s history with the Inc. 5000 list

We first applied to the Inc. 5000 list in 2019 – and being included was the highlight of our year. Other recognitions followed.

Here’s what our history with Inc. 5000 looks like:

How does Inc. magazine choose the honorees?

Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020.

To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent, not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2020. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.)

The minimum revenue required for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum for 2020 is $2 million.

Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to three decimal places. There was one tie on this year’s Inc. 5000.

“As a member of America’s most elite companies – 5,000 strong – you’ve reached the uppermost echelon of elite companies like Microsoft, Pandora, Under Armour and other trailblazing titans,” the team at Inc. says.

They add: “ZeroBounce is among the best of the best.”

We couldn’t have done it without you, so a big thank you, again, from all of us!
